HDMI eARC Audio Extender Demo Surprisingly Versatile @ CEDIA 2023

Dec. 18, 2023 - The AC-AEX-DEARC-KIT is an AVPro Edge DeARC audio signal-only transmit-receive audio codec transmission system designed to transfer the highest bitrate audio codecs from TV apps to a centralized system distribution location using Category wire up to 100m/328ft. However, the audio capabilities do not end there. Legacy analog devices such as tape machines or turntables equipped with a built-in preamplifier can send playback signals to a secondary location.

Legacy TOSLINK digital signals from pre-HDMI era flat panels or audio playback devices like a CD changer can be listened to house-wide when transferred via the AC-AEX-DEARC-KIT to the central system.

The AC-AEX-DEARC-KIT can also convert eARC into ARC or ARC into eARC to aid in control issues that ARC is sometimes prone to, as eARC’s dedicated data channel improves the compatibility and reliability of Consumer Electronics Control. The kit may be powered over cable, requiring the 12VDC adaptor to be connected to only one of the devices.
