OmniMount Launches Short Throw Projector Mounts
Posted on Friday, December 17, 2010

Phoenix, AZ — December 17, 2010 — OmniMount, dedicated to being a one-stop shop for professional products, today announced the launch of a complete line of short throw projector arms and wall plates with superior design and functionality. Whether mounting a short throw projector with or without components, the OmniMount STP Series is comprised of four commercial-grade products that work together to offer quick installation and a clean post-install appearance.

The STP Series is an exciting addition to the OmniMount family of projector mounts that are built with reliability, functionality and versatility in mind. The key value to this series is that they allow projectors and accompanying components to be mounted to the wall in situations where a ceiling install is not preferred or possible. The STPA23 is a short throw projector arm that can be paired with optional double stud wall plate accessories for mounting and concealing components. It’s heavy duty steel construction supports up to 60 pounds (72.2 kg) and universally fits any projector mount with 1.5” NPT female fitting. It has a throw of 5” to 23”. The STPA57 has the same body design, but supports up to 35 pounds (15.9 kg) and universally fits any projector mount with 1.5” NPT female fitting. It has a throw of 5” to 57”. Both products feature integrated cable management through the wall bracket and arm and wall plate covers for a clean appearance.

The STPWPM and STPWML are medium and large short throw projector wall plates that allow components to be conveniently mounted and concealed on the wall with the projector. They’re both compatible with the STPA23 and STPA57 and share features like: heavy duty steel construction with open architecture for easy trim-out, vented component covers for cooling and allow for 6” of lateral adjustment post-installation. Their only difference is their size: the STPWPM fits components up to 6” high x 6” wide x 1.5” deep and the STPWPL fits larger components up to 8” high x 8.8” wide x 1.75” deep.

Knowing that ease of installation is always key, the STP Series includes detailed instructions, complete with images to guide the install. Security is also important when installing expensive projectors in commercial applications and the STP Series features anti-theft security hardware as a precaution. Designed and engineered in the USA, all four pieces in the STP Series are currently available and shipping.
