At ISE 2012, Meyer Sound to Announce New Products, Show Future of Networked Audio Systems
Posted on Monday, January 23, 2012

At ISE in Amsterdam, on stand 1M80, Meyer Sound will unveil new additions to its long string of standard-setting products, showcased alongside the D-Mitri digital audio platform—a 2011 InAVation Technology Award winner. Also shown will be the CAL column array loudspeakers, which feature class-leading audio performance and proprietary DSP algorithms for accurate digital beam steering and beam splitting.

An ideal solution for installations that demand superior sound quality, Meyer Sound's low-voltage installation loudspeakers provide high SPL, markedly improved sonic dynamics and clarity, and reliable performance with the time and cost savings of Class 2 wiring. To hear more about the implementation of these 48-volt audio systems in public facilities and beyond, visit the Meyer Sound stand or attend the InfoComm education program "Low Voltage Audio Systems: Raising the Bar," presented by Miguel Lourtie, European technical services manager, on January 31 at 16:00 in room D202-D204. (Registration required through ISE. Click here for more info)

D-Mitri is a powerful network-based digital audio processing and distribution platform that encompasses the entire audio chain, from microphone input to loudspeaker output, incorporating multichannel distribution, multichannel recording and playback, and show control automation. With its extremely high-performance processing engines (96 kHz/24-bit conversion with up to 64-bit floating point internal processing) and AVB capability, D-Mitri's strong programmable platform makes it ideally suited for a number of applications, from theatrical productions to a wide variety of permanently installed audio environments.

D-Mitri is designed as an AVB-capable platform. Learn more about AVB (audio video bridging) by attending the seminar "AVB: The Future of Standards-based AV Networking," presented by Jerry Placken, worldwide sales manager, digital products; and John McMahon, executive director, digital products, on January 31 at 11:30 in room D202-D204. (Registration required through ISE. Click here for more info)

Meyer Sound is a promoting member of the AVnu Alliance, an industry forum dedicated to the advancement of AVB. Visit the AVnu Alliance Pavilion at ISE on stand 7Q220 to learn more.
