Sharp's Lineup Of AQUOS BOARD® Interactive Displays Wins Three Awards At InfoComm 2017
Posted on Thursday, June 29, 2017

MONTVALE, N.J., June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, is pleased to announce its iconic AQUOS BOARD® interactive display system product line won three awards during InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Fla.: the 2017 Commercial Integrator BEST Award, the AV TECH Best of Show InfoComm 2017 and the Tech & Learning Best of Show InfoComm awards.

The Sharp PN-C805B AQUOS BOARD interactive display received nods from both the 2017 Commercial Integrator BEST Award and the Tech & Learning Best of Show InfoComm award. The PN-C805B interactive display is designed for presentations and lessons in a variety of settings including corporate and education. It is part of the new value-priced PN-C display series, recognizing up to 10 touch points with four-person simultaneous use.

The PN-C805B is the first model to include direct bonding technology in an AQUOS BOARD interactive display line, allowing for a highly ergonomic touch and feel. This technology offers customers the same Pen-on-Paper™ writing experience as a flip chart or whiteboard, while at the same time provides all the benefits of an electronic whiteboard, creating a user experience as close to pen on paper as possible. The protective glass is bonded directly to the LCD panel without any air gaps. This minimizes parallax difference, allowing for smooth writing operations and clear visibility.

The AV TECH Best of Show InfoComm 2017 honored the Sharp PN-L401C AQUOS BOARD interactive display system. This display targets environments that have limited space requirements for interactive signage or collaboration applications. For offices, it enables collaboration and productivity in popular "huddle space" environments, where everyone can engage meaningfully in small group meetings by sharing onscreen information. Intuitive touchscreen operation facilitates active collaboration and lively exchange of opinions, and can act as a sophisticated bulletin board or flipchart.

"We are pleased to have our line of AQUOS BOARD interactive display systems recognized during the largest Pro AV tradeshow in the industry," said Gary Bailer, director of product planning and marketing for Pro AV products at Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "We witnessed great interest in these displays at InfoComm, owing to the benefits they provide for collaborative settings and teaming initiatives."
